Read this lesson as if you are sitting beside someone who has been trading this method for years. Watch every decision, every check-in, every adjustment. This is what a prepared, disciplined session looks like from beginning to end.

The complete trade is not five separate skills. It is one continuous decision made before the session even starts — and then executed without improvisation from open to close.

The Setup — GBP/USD, Wednesday Session

Here are the conditions for this walkthrough. All figures are representative of a typical high-conviction setup.

The Session — Minute by Minute

3:00 AM ET — London Opens Watching. Not trading. London opens. First candle prints slightly above the Asian range high. No action. The session plan says to watch for a push above 1.2750. That has not happened yet. Sit on hands. 3:15 AM ET — Push 1 Begins Stop hunt firing. Still watching. Price accelerates upward. Breaks above the Asian range high cleanly. Breakout traders entering long. Push 1 in progress. The session plan anticipated exactly this. Do not enter. Watch the push develop. Equal highs at 1.2748 have not yet been reached. 3:30 AM ET — Push 2 and Pause Three pushes developing. Patience. Price pauses briefly then pushes again. Through 1.2748 — the equal highs are swept. Push 2 tagged. Price continues to 1.2752 — through the big figure. More breakout longs piling in. Every push is adding fuel for the reversal. The plan is executing exactly as written. 3:45 AM ET — Push 3 Completes HOD set. Stop hunt complete. Now watch for the M. A final push to 1.2756. Pin candle forms — long upper wick, small bearish body closing below the high. Volume spike visible on this candle. Equal highs swept. Big figure cleared. HOD set at 1.2756. Two completion signals confirmed — pin candle and equal highs tagged. The stop hunt is complete. Watching for the M formation now. 4:00 AM ET — M Formation Developing Leg 1 set. Full attention on the chart. 4:45 AM ET — Entry Signal Leg 2 candle closes bearish. Entry fires. The Leg 2 candle closes bearish at 1.2749 — a clear red body. Leg 2 did not exceed Leg 1 at 1.2756. The M formation is confirmed. Entry placed at market on the next candle open: Short at 1.2748. Stop placed immediately at 1.2763 — 7 pip above Leg 1 at 1.2756. Take profit set at 1.2698 — 50 pip below entry. Two-hour clock started at 4:45 AM.

The Trade — From Entry to Exit

4:45 AM – 5:30 AM ET — Level I Fast directional run. Yellow EMAs crossing. Hold everything. Price drops immediately after entry. The yellow 5 crosses below the 8. Price pulls clearly away from the red 13 EMA — staying cleanly below it. Level I is running. At 5:15 AM price reaches 1.2698 — 50 pip in profit. Stop moved to breakeven at 1.2748. Take profit order removed — riding the trade for more. Step away from the screen. 5:30 AM – 6:15 AM ET — L1 Consolidation Chop. Mixed candles. Hold the breakeven stop. Do nothing. Check-in at 5:45 AM. Price is moving sideways. Mixed candles. Price crosses the red 13 EMA briefly. This is the Level I consolidation. The stop at breakeven survives this entirely. Note taken: "L1 consolidation in progress. Hold. No action." Check-in at 6:15 AM — consolidation continuing. Same note. Same action: nothing. 6:15 AM ET — Level II Entry L1 consolidation resolves. Scale in. A clear bearish candle closes below the consolidation range. Level I consolidation has resolved in the trend direction. Scale-in entry placed: Short at 1.2695 — 75% of original size. What Made This Trade Work

Not the entry. Not the exit. The preparation.

The session plan was written before a single London candle printed. The stop hunt target was identified before the stop hunt fired. The M formation was anticipated before it formed. When the signal arrived at 4:45 AM, the only decision was whether the conditions matched the plan — and they did.

A prepared trader executes. An unprepared trader reacts. The difference between those two experiences — in terms of clarity, confidence, and result — is entirely determined by what happens before London opens.

Prepare the evening before. Execute in the morning. Journal the result. Do it again tomorrow.
